eni DICREA lubricants are formulated for the lubrication of air compressors (rotary or piston). The light oils, with ISO VG grades 32, 46 and 68, are formulated using highly refined base oils (group II), the other grades being produced with selected paraffinic base oils. Antioxidant, anti-rust and anti-wear additives have been used for all oils.

Properties and performances:

* eni DICREA lubricants are very stable at high temperatures, as shown by the DIN 51352 oxidation test (part 2). They do not form gum and carbon deposits in the hot areas of the compressor, thus minimizing the possibility of blocking of the rings and discharge valve orifices. eni DICREA oils are resistant to oxidation and aging and do not form sludge or deposits, as shown by the results obtained by the ROCOT test (test for evaluating the oxidation resistance of compressor oils). eni DICREA oils have a long service life in rotary compressors (screw or vane).

* Carbon residues are very low, due to the low tendency of these oils to form carbon deposits on the hot parts of the compressor, a fact demonstrated by the results obtained under the DIN 51352-2 test conditions.

* eni DICREA lubricants prevent rust formation by meeting the conditions of the ASTM D 665 A/B test.

* The oils have good anti-wear properties, so they pass the 9th load stage under FZG test conditions. Anti-wear properties are essential for the lubrication of rotary compressors which are more sensitive to wear than reciprocating compressors at the same transmitted powers.

* eni DICREA oils are compatible with most types of elastomers currently used in the manufacture of compressor sealing elements .

eni DICREA are oils recommended for the lubrication of rotary and reciprocating air compressors, including those that discharge air at high temperatures (200 °C or more).
