eni OTE lubricants have been formulated to meet the most severe requirements imposed for the lubrication of steam, gas and water turbines. All grades, except ISO VG 100, are formulated using highly refined, Group II base oils and state-of-the-art additives. The wide range of viscosities covers the entire range of lubrication requirements.
Characteristics (typical values):
| Viscosity at 100°C | mm2 /s | 5.45 |
| Viscosity at 40°C | mm2 /s | 30 |
| Viscosity index | - | 118 |
| Flash point COC | °C | 220 |
| Pour point | °C | -15 |
| Density at 15°C | kg/l | 0.850 |
Properties and performance:
* The high viscosity index ensures low viscosity change with temperature and maintenance of the oil film even at high operating temperatures.
* eni OTE oils have a special resistance to oxidation and "aging" without forming sludge or other deposits. This ensures a long service life, the oils exceeding the conditions of the 4000-hour test - TOST (Turbine Oil Stability Test) and far exceeding the requirements of the IP 280 oxidation test (CIGRE).
* Through its anti-corrosion and anti-rust properties, it ensures effective protection of lubricated components: oil circuit, storage tanks, heat exchangers, etc.
* They have good anti-foaming and deaeration properties (rapidly remove air), thus reducing the risk of lubricant film disruption, the appearance of air pockets and cavitation in pumps, faulty operation of regulators and oil spillage from storage tanks.
* The oils have very good demulsifying properties. As a result, the formation of stable emulsions is prevented, ensuring a rapid and complete separation of entrained water, thus guaranteeing a continuous and homogeneous lubricant film which is an essential factor for correct lubrication, minimum friction and wear.
Uses:
eni OTE oils are specially formulated for the lubrication of all components (bearings, control systems) of turbines of various types (steam, water, gas). These lubricants ensure outstanding performance in turbo-blowers, hydraulic machines, air compressors, where the compressed air temperature is medium or high, as well as in other applications where the lubricant must have very good stability (oxidation resistance) and rapid water separation properties.
